To begin with playing Caribbean stud poker you have to place the wager in the ante area.  The ante should be the minimum table bet.  In cases where you might want to place an optional progressive jackpot bet you will be placing a $1 bet in the jackpot slot.  Just before distributing the cards, these bets will be collected.  Every player in the Caribbean stud poker table is dealt with 5 cards face down, including the dealer hand, but for the dealer 4 cards are dealt face down and one card is dealt face up.  After all the hands have been distributed if you think that your hand will beat the dealers hand in Caribbean stud poker you can make the betting, which should usually be a call bet, which is twice the money of your ante.  If you feel your hands are weak in Caribbean stud poker and cannot beat the dealers hand; then you can fold.

In cases where you surrender and fold your hand in Caribbean stud poker you will loose the money you have invested but you will not loose any more money. In cases where you have folded your hand you might not participate in the game regardless of whether the dealers hand qualifies or looses.  For the dealers to qualify he should have a pair or at least an Ace and king.
