The honest comparison of one’s own hand based on the door and open cards is quite a need when one does play stud poker of any betting limit. One would feel a million times thankful if they have done honest comparison to eventually figure out if their hand is already dead or does still have some hope to be played on. Comparison of the open cards and the door cards against the open cards of other players at the table to see if the hand is worth any further draw is an important approach to play stud poker and anyone that does not compare has more than average chances to be playing dead hands.
Chase is something that should be closely considered by anyone that play stud poker of any sort. The expression of chasing the right card usually cannot turn out to be a 100% success because the negative connotations of having the probability factor associated with it; having the card show in the draw matters a lot, which is an of course an event of chance in most cases. Inexperienced stud players do play the game as if it were a game of craps that is easy to play because there is going to be lot of open information for them to decide on. However, they need to remember that they are giving out the same percentage of open information to others like they do. And also it is important to pretend hands, which is going to be very difficult with so much of open information and betting involved, especially in a table of skilled players with excellent reading abilities. Anyone that is to play stud poker is more often than not aware of the importance of outline the relative strength of their hand with respect to the hands that they are probably playing against. A tighter betting approach dominates the table with so much of information left open to play stud poker. And players are smart enough to not chase draws with hands that are not best from the very beginning. Players play just those hands that are in lead and they fold when they are faced with bets made in aggression; however, to play stud poker with initiating the betting or raising can give most of the clue and one should be sure to be unpredictable or at least pose a doubtful picture on their hand, it is tricky. |
