The stud poker game is not a closed game like the draw game rather you will be able to see a part of the information of the kind of hand that your opponent is holding. This aspect of the game is appealing in stud poker to those players that are skilled in arriving at what others might have with a little information leakage.  In stud poker, since most of the cards will be open, the feel that they can be good information manipulators there.  Stud poker is a game of ante and one group of population simply does not like to play forced ante.  They make a war cry on why should pay to get cards! A stud poker player will be able to see all his five cards only if he is geared to play until the end, but in the draw games the player will be making his decision only after he sees all his 5 cards.  In some cases of stud poker, there could have been better chances if the player were heads up.  Well, such regrets and road not taken ideas are a part of poker.

Some people like stud poker and some like draws; it is all a matter of individual temperament.  Stud poker is lot a favorite on those that can place a lot of play with emphasis on memory and card analysis. Stud poked indeed is very tempting for an inexperienced player, they always feel that the money that they will have to put in to the pot is very less when compared to the kind of winning that they might make.

Well the pot becomes attractive because all players are required to make the compulsory ante; however, never stay up by temptation unless you have a reason to say.  If the first 3 cards are a mess better fold.
